Cybrina Lopez

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Cybrina Lopez is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about serving as a guide and support system for individuals and families to improve their overall quality of life. Mrs. Lopez has been in the helping field since 2016, where she primarily worked with at-promise youth, young adults, and families. Mrs. Lopez has worked as a school-based therapist with the Willliam S. Hart school district, where she gained experience working with adolescents with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Mrs. Lopez graduated from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology with her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. She enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and families. She believes each person has unique gifts/strengths that they can apply while on their unique healing journey. Mrs. Lopez believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, works gently with the client to meet them where they are, and acts as a guide alongside them. Mrs. Lopez takes a humanistic, person-centered approach as she understands the importance of tailoring therapy. Hence, it aligns with the individual’s unique needs rather than taking on a one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach.

Mrs. Lopez has worked extensively with anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual assault, intergenerational trauma, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Mrs. Lopez employs various techniques to treat these conditions, including narrative therapy, attachment theories, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Mrs. Lopez helps her clients by bringing awareness and unconditional positive regard to promote healing.
